We have an immediate vacancy for a Management Accountant to join our growing team. 

Your permanent place of work will be at Easter Park although there may be occasions when you will be required to attend other locations in the course of your duties.  This will on occasions involve overnight stays away from home commensurate with the business needs.

Purpose:

  • To provide accurate and timely financial information to the business
  • To maintain accurate records of financial data
  • To monitor and enforce all financial controls across the business

Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Preparation & presentation of accurate, timely and user friendly financial and commercial information and provision of detailed analyses to aid business planning: monthly management accounts including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, accruals, prepayments, fixed asset register, flash reports (weekly/monthly), dash boards
  • Assist financial controller in the preparation of annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting
  • Financial management of customer contracts including financial performance analysis and liaison with these customers.
  • Customer analysis including pricing tools such as Ready Reckoner
  • Reviewing and developing companywide financial controls and procedures in line with best practice
  • Monitoring expected margins on current and future planned work and analysis of variances between forecast margins and actual margins
  • Financial analysis, highlighting variances and discussing with departmental heads to identify risks and opportunities to improve financial results 
  • Analysis of Fleet statistics to aid decision making and identify trends
  • Assist the financial controller in the interrogation of sales data to highlight variances, trends, future opportunities, potential risks, pipeline management and conversion
  • Credit checks on new customers and management of new accounts application processing in close liaison with the sales/operations departments
  • Regular (high expenditure) supplier analysis and reporting
  • Control of purchase orders including authorisation and allocation
  • Management of E procurement/E business payments (e.g. Syncada)
  • Submission of external returns; VAT, ONS, PAYE etc.
  • Management of Company Pension contributions and auto enrolment (in conjunction with HR Manager) to ensure compliance with pension reform legislation
  • Project/client specific budget analysis (actual versus forecast)
  • Financial ad hoc project work as required
  • Assist the Financial Controller in the preparation of annual returns required by accountants / auditors
  • Management of Asset Management system and cross checking with Fixed Asset Register
  • Review utility costs and maintain preferential rates for the business

General:

Person Specification:

Essential Qualifications

  • Newly qualified CIMA/ACCA

Desirable Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years working in a financial role
  • Competent IT user – full Microsoft Office particularly Excel

  • Previous experience working in a management accounts role

Hours:

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday
