CTS awarded public body contract for secure courier and distribution services
CTS Logistics has once again been named as a specialist supplier to UK public sector organisations, following the award of a new four-year contract under the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) framework for Courier, Distribution, Storage and Specialist Solutions.
Established in 1997, the announcement comes as CTS prepares to celebrate 30 years as a trusted specialist logistics partner to governments and high consequence organisations in the global defence, nuclear, healthcare and secure IT sectors.
Named as a supplier under previous CCS Frameworks in 2017 and 2021, the award confirms our position as a leading provider of specialist logistics that require the highest standards of safety and security.
Developed by CCS to strengthen access to suppliers who meet strict criteria for reliability and value for money, it further emphasises our commitment to supporting the UK’s critical institutions.
Under the new framework, we will provide a range of services including:
- Managed services for secure storage and distribution including fulfilment, asset management and onward delivery;
- Secure transportation and disposal of UN Class 1 and UK Section 5 firearms, weapons and explosives;
- Secure collection and delivery of high value goods requiring enhanced measures in the UK and to international destinations;
- Managed services for specialist movements including the same day and overnight transportation of infectious, toxic and controlled substances, medical equipment and information for diagnosis and research.
Founder and Managing Director Nick Collins said, “As a named supplier, we are delighted to continue our support to UK public sector organisations who demand complete peace of mind for their specialist logistics requirements.
“We’re proud to have showcased our core values of excellence, integrity and adaptability to secure this award, and are excited to continue innovating our services to add value to the public sector supply chain.”
